CRM company, Zendesk, has appointed Peter Lorant to accelerate growth in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, which accounts for more than 27% of the company’s global business with more than 56,000 customers.
Lorant joins Zendesk as the region’s first Chief Operating Officer, where he will lead go-to-market strategies and operations for EMEA, reporting into Zendesk CEO, Mikkel Svane. Based in London, Peter brings more than 30 years of experience in sales, marketing and operations roles including Google, Business Objects, IBM and, most recently, Workday.
Lorant is the latest addition to a growing bench of senior leadership in EMEA and follows the recent appointment of Andrew Lawson, Senior Vice President EMEA Sales who joined in May 2020 to drive the region’s growth strategy and expand its customer base. Together, Lorant and Lawson will lead the EMEA business through this unique period of change, in an effort to support Zendesk’s long-term goal of becoming a multibillion-dollar revenue company.
Also new to Zendesk’s senior leadership in EMEA are Celine Maher, Regional Vice President, UKI & Emerging Markets and Charlotte Møller-Andersen, Regional Vice-President, North Europe. The recent expansion of its leadership team signals the company’s commitment to its international operations, helping business around the globe deliver the best customer experiences, which are particularly critical during these unique times.
