PM Connect partners with direct-to-consumer ad platform WeAre8

Mobile payment and marketing firm, PM Connect, has partnered with EE and WeAre8 to launch a sustainable advertising distribution platform in the UK. WeAre8’s technology connects brands directly with people by enabling them to get paid for watching long-form brand videos and ads.

Through the partnership, EE mobile customers can sign up to WeAre8 via EE Up within the My EE app that offers exclusive experiences, rewards, competitions and benefits.

By watching a brand video and answering 1-3 short questions, customers receive up to 20p in their EE Up wallet, and a donation of 5% is also automatically given to the charity of their choice or they can elect to contribute to their monthly phone bill using the earned money in the EE Up wallet.

PM Connect is providing the technology that enables the credit to be passed from WeAre8 to EE customers.

After customers sign up via EE Up, they are sent a personal link and can control the frequency and time of day they want to receive brand videos via SMS, email, or both, so they can earn money and make a positive impact at a time that suits them.

This is PM Connect’s first exploration into crediting, expanding its offering to mobile carrier and brand partners.
